Corporate Investigation Counsel Associate Manager

About the role

Accenture is looking for an Associate Manager for its Corporate Investigation Counsel function in Bucharest. The role leads, conducts and oversees corporate compliance investigations arising from misconduct reported through Accenture's reporting channels, manages the notification, recording and reporting process, and works with senior leadership to assess and address significant legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in and conduct investigations of compliance and personnel-related allegations of misconduct
• Oversee and conduct legally privileged investigations (at the direction of an attorney), including defining scope, reviewing documents, planning, interviewing, reporting and recommending remedial measures
• Advise organizational leadership on risk and remedial measures, and consult HR leadership on the nature, risks and remediation of matters
• Collaborate with internal and external resources and with regional Corporate Investigators, legal and HR leads and global leadership
• Train, counsel and support attorneys and other investigators
• Draft and review analyses of compliance-related risks, develop internal guidelines and escalate matters promptly to Regional Leads

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience conducting workplace investigations and/or 5 years' experience with either litigation or employment law
• Practicing solicitor and law degree or equivalent
• Extensive experience in employee relations and workplace investigations
• Nice to have: European languages

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and strategic business acumen in handling sensitive ethical and compliance matters
• In-depth knowledge of local compliance risks, employee rights and obligations and related laws
• Ability to influence senior executive decisions and work in a multinational, culturally diverse environment
