Controllership Specialist – Finance & Accounting

About the role

Honeywell is looking for a Controllership Specialist to join its Bucharest finance team. You will be responsible for core accounting activities, ensuring accurate journal entries, compliance with standards, and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inter‑Company, VAT, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Prepare routine management reports, schedules and financial summaries.
• Identify and resolve unusual or overdue items in statements, ledgers and accounts.
• Respond to business stakeholder queries and clarify financial situations.
• Perform reconciliations and ensure journal entries meet internal and external audit specifications.
• Meet country‑specific and Honeywell internal deadlines for financial deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in finance, accounting or reporting, preferably in general accounting.
• Strong command of English.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Understanding of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inter‑Company, VAT, AP/AR processes.
