Compliance Expert

About the role

Huawei Europe is seeking a Compliance Expert to join its Bucharest office. The role focuses on identifying and mitigating compliance risks across business activities, supporting the company’s risk‑control framework, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review contractual terms and business arrangements to spot potential compliance issues and provide actionable feedback.
• Assess sales projects for risks related to bribery, corruption, conflicts of interest, and other compliance concerns.
• Support compliance inspections, conduct risk assessments, and help close identified control gaps.
• Develop and deliver compliance training materials, case studies, and drill programs.
• Maintain compliance policies, procedures, and documentation; organize regular compliance meetings and track follow‑up actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal, compliance, internal control, audit, or a similar field.
• Strong understanding of compliance risk management and assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of anti‑bribery and corruption regulations.
• Familiarity with competition law, financial compliance, trade compliance, and third‑party compliance management.
