Clinical Scientist - Cronos (Home-Based)

About the role

IQVIA's Patient Centered Solutions (PCS) team designs scientifically rigorous research for life science and pharmaceutical clients, covering clinical trials, real-world evidence and patient-reported outcomes. As a Consultant, ClinRO Services within the PCS team, you will work remotely (home-based) to administer assessments to clinical trial participants or evaluate the quality of assessments done by others and give feedback on interview technique and scoring.

Key responsibilities

• Review scales administered by raters in a clinical trial to ensure they follow a standardized method and produce reliable data.
• Evaluate the quality of assessments, hold live interactions with raters about methodology and scoring, and give guidance where needed.
• Evaluate case data and prepare for discussions with raters, keeping relevant documents ready.
• Complete rater interactions and assigned tasks on schedule and submit all related documentation on time.
• Take part in orientation, training and calibration activities.
• Carry out functional assessments of rater performance (e.g. mock interviews) and help prepare and share communications.
• Contact clinical trial participants remotely (e.g. via a proprietary app) to administer assessments and record notes and scores.

Required profile

• Master's degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric, Nursing or Social Work, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience with schizophrenia and major depressive disorder populations.
• At least 3 years of experience administering psychiatric assessments such as the PANSS to these populations.
• Clinical trials experience preferred; CNS trial experience is a plus.
• Advanced level of English.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, attention-to-detail, time-management and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office, with solid Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
• Remote administration of assessments via a proprietary app.
