Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

Huawei Europe is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of solar and energy storage solutions in Romania. You will shape the market strategy, build key partnerships, and drive large‑scale renewable projects that align with Huawei’s vision of a fully connected, intelligent world.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the business development strategy for solar PV and BESS solutions in Romania.
• Identify, qualify, and secure utility‑scale and large infrastructure projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with EPC contractors, energy developers, utilities, and other industry stakeholders.
• Lead complex, long‑cycle sales processes, including negotiations and deal closure.
• Collaborate with pre‑sales, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure optimal solution design and execution.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Business or a related field.
• 5–10 years of business development or sales experience in the energy, utilities, or renewable sector.
• Proven track record in project‑based sales, preferably in Solar PV or Energy Storage (BESS).
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage long‑sales cycles.
• Fluent in English and Romanian.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Romania and occasionally abroad.
