AS&T Specialist (temporary)

About the role

Join Novartis in Targu Mureș, Romania as an AS&T Specialist on a temporary basis. You will support analytical method lifecycle activities, transfers, validation programs and equipment management to ensure high‑quality medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate analytical method transfer projects, ensuring timely implementation.
• Develop, review and maintain validation and qualification documentation (protocols, reports, records).
• Provide scientific support for product and process validation across the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Perform statistical evaluation and interpretation of analytical data for continuous improvement.
• Review raw analytical data and technical documentation to ensure integrity and compliance.
• Coordinate equipment qualification, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support implementation, optimisation and validation of new analytical methods and technologies.

Required profile

• University degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an analytical laboratory within pharma or biotech.
• Experience performing analytical testing, data evaluation and result interpretation.
• Strong written and verbal English skills; German is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions.
