AI Senior Risk Manager (Fixed Term)

About the role

The Senior Model Validator will focus on challenging and validating Generative AI use cases across LSEG’s business. You will ensure AI models are robust, fair, and fit for purpose while supporting junior validation team members.

Key responsibilities

• Independently assess technical aspects of GenAI models and perform hands‑on testing.
• Design SME question sets tailored to different AI use cases and challenge development teams on design and testing methodology.
• Identify and escalate risks, collaborate on resolution plans, and document validation outcomes in clear, structured reports.
• Build strong relationships with model owners and developers in the First Line of Defence and adapt quickly to tasks of varying complexity and priority.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in AI development or model risk, including Generative AI and NLP/ML.
• Post‑graduate degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Solid theoretical knowledge of predictive and generative AI techniques.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI research and emerging trends.

Required skills

• Strong Python skills for modelling and analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with GenAI model development and validation, including bias, fairness, and toxicity assessments.
• Familiarity with the full AI development lifecycle.
