AI Engineer – GenAI & Agentic AI (German fluent)

About the role

As an AI Engineer you will design and deliver production‑ready generative AI and agentic AI solutions for regulated industries. You will work on building agents that understand documents, support decision‑making and execute actions within enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy GenAI and agentic AI solutions, including task‑planning agents and tool‑using bots.
• Build Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, extraction logic and integrate data from sources such as documents, emails and forms.
• Implement robust back‑ends, APIs and integrate AI components via REST, events or MCP.
• Measure AI output quality with automated evaluations, guardrails, tracing and human‑in‑the‑loop workflows.
• Automate infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or on‑premises platforms using IaC tools.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of software development experience, including 1‑2 years with LLM‑based applications beyond prototype stage.
• Business‑fluent German (minimum C1) and strong English communication skills.

Required skills

• Python (expert) and at least one enterprise language (Java, C# or .NET).
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Pydantic AI) and vector databases.
• Hands‑on with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), containers and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and test automation.
• Knowledge of streaming platforms (Kafka) and data warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric).
