Working Student – Production IT

About the role

As a Working Student in the Production IT department at Bosch Cluj, you will gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of IT topics that support manufacturing operations. The role offers the chance to work on real projects, develop software tools, and contribute to the security and reliability of the plant’s IT landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain IT infrastructure and the MES system used in the Bosch Cluj plant.
• Assist with IT security measures in the manufacturing environment.
• Monitor IT systems to ensure continuous operation and performance.
• Develop software tools and applications that improve visibility, monitoring, and security of manufacturing IT.
• Participate in IT infrastructure projects, including system setup, rollout, and upgrades.

Required profile

• Strong team collaboration skills and ability to work in cross‑disciplinary projects.
• Structured working style with clear documentation of activities and processes.

Required skills

• Understanding of networks, communication protocols, firewalls and VLANs.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including command‑line usage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Basic knowledge of databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python or JavaScript.
• Web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics.
• Knowledge of client‑server architecture, HTTP/HTTPS and REST APIs.
• Object‑Oriented Programming concepts and SOLID principles.
• Familiarity with IT monitoring tools, microservices, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines (nice to have).
