Tax Specialist (F&A) - Direct Tax

About the role

Genpact is looking for a Tax Specialist (F&A) to prepare, review and file direct tax returns accurately and within statutory deadlines. The role covers tax compliance, planning, risk control and reporting, and supports audits and tax-related accounting entries. It is based in Romania, on a standard work shift, with a hybrid arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimise the company's tax position.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and recommend proactive actions.
• Review tax calculations, reconciliations and supporting schedules, and support tax provisions and reporting for statutory and management purposes.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks through tax controls, and lead responses to audits, assessments and regulatory examinations.
• Support transfer pricing compliance and evaluate the tax implications of new initiatives, restructurings and acquisitions.
• Prepare tax analyses, forecasts and management reports, and review tax-related accounting entries during month-end and year-end closing.
• Cooperate with Finance, Accounting, Legal, HR and business teams, and with internal and external auditors.
• Contribute to the tax risk management framework, coach junior team members and take part in cross-functional projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Finance, or a Master's in Finance.
• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Advanced Spanish (C1).
