Senior Software Engineer - Integrations 3P - Platform

About the role

Elastic is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Integrations team and help build how Elastic works inside the AI ecosystem. The Integrations team owns the developer-facing surfaces that connect Elastic to the broader ecosystem: language clients, CLI, MCP server, third-party integrations and the skills that make Elastic accessible wherever developers work. The role is fast-moving, with close work with product teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its infrastructure, primarily in Go.
• Build the platform for universal agent skills: the portable format, authoring and publishing tooling and linting so any team can ship a skill that runs across every agent.
• Help set the correctness bar, ensuring skills and tools are backed by evaluations rather than assumptions.
• Design and deliver integrations that make Elastic available inside third-party AI ecosystems, working with product and partner teams.
• Contribute to the Elastic CLI to improve developer and agent efficiency.
• Develop, maintain and support libraries, tools and integrations for the Elastic Stack in a mix of languages including Go and Rust.
• Bring product thinking to the team, with strong opinions on what to build and why.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience on backend systems, services or libraries.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, LLMs, agents and agent skills/protocols such as MCP, with an interest in proving correctness through evaluation.
• Recent significant experience in Go and ideally other languages.
• Comfortable reading and contributing to codebases in languages you do not own, and willing to pick up unfamiliar ones.
• Strong focus on usability and developer experience, and comfort with context-switching in a fast-changing environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including with customers and partners, and willingness to work in a remote, globally distributed team.

• Base salary ranging from 272,000 to 430,200 RON, with no variable component.
