Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

About the role

LSEG is seeking two Senior Software Development Engineers in Test to design, develop and execute both manual and automated tests, ensuring high product quality for its financial market infrastructure services.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents and provide timely feedback.
• Create detailed test plans and test cases, estimate and prioritize testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open‑source tools such as Robot Framework.
• Identify, record, document and track bugs; perform functional, performance, regression, stress and load testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify system requirements and gaps.
• Stay current with new testing tools, AI‑driven efficiency techniques and testing processes.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Strong Python development skills and solid Unix background.
• Hands‑on experience with automated testing tools and source code management (Git or CVS).
• Proven experience in software quality assurance and knowledge of SDLC.
