Senior IT DevOps Administrator

About the role

Garmin is seeking a Senior IT DevOps Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for high‑performance, scalable applications. The role balances on‑premises and cloud environments while supporting hybrid work flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex multi‑system/server IT projects and drive cross‑team collaboration.
• Develop and support system integrations across multiple applications.
• Identify automation opportunities, improve system stability and performance.
• Ensure high availability with scalable alerting, logging and automated recovery.
• Conduct technical research on new technologies and assess feasibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation or system administration.
• Proven ability to mentor less‑experienced professionals.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in a small‑team setting.

Required skills

• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible.
• Linux administration (RPM/DNF based: RedHat, Oracle, Rocky).
• Containerisation with Docker.
• Scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby.
• Version control systems and ITIL Change Management practices.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, TCP/IP networking and system architecture.
