Senior FIX Onboarding Analyst

About the role

The FIX Onboarding team connects institutional clients to global markets through LSEG's multi-asset electronic trading platforms, including LSEG TORA and REDI on Workspace OEMS. LSEG is looking for a Senior FIX Onboarding Analyst in Cluj to lead sophisticated trading connectivity implementations, combining technical expertise with a customer-focused approach. The role is carried out with a high degree of autonomy, handling stakeholders, solving technical challenges, driving process improvements and supporting colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business and technical requirements, turning client trading and connectivity needs into scalable FIX solutions across equities, futures, options, FX and fixed income.
• Deliver end-to-end FIX onboarding projects, coordinating with clients, brokers and vendors to configure, test, certify and deploy FIX order routing and execution workflows.
• Lead initiatives such as session migrations, platform upgrades, broker algorithm implementation and connectivity improvements.
• Work daily with regional FIX teams and partners such as Professional Services, Account Management, Sales, Product, Support and Engineering.
• Act as FIX domain expert, giving technical guidance, resolving onboarding issues and supporting complex post-production FIX incidents (L3).
• Improve processes through optimization, standardization, knowledge sharing and the use of automation and AI-enabled tools.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of the FIX protocol (FIX 4.2 / FIX 4.4).
• Experience in financial services and electronic trading environments (sell-side, buy-side, OMS/EMS provider, FIX vendor or similar).
• Experience onboarding clients and/or brokers, including FIX conformance and certification testing.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VPNs and extranet connectivity.
• Excellent English communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Good understanding of Unix or Linux-based operating systems.

Preferred qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in FIX onboarding, technical implementation, electronic trading support or a related field.
• Solid grasp of equities and derivatives trading workflows, including futures and options.
• Knowledge of XML, including ATDL development and testing.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Salesforce or similar tools.
• Scripting or programming skills (e.g. Python, Shell, Java) and experience delivering automation and process improvement initiatives.
