Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Bosch Engineering Center Cluj, established in 2013, contributes to the transformation of the mobility sector through software, hardware and mechanical engineering, reliability engineering and sales planning, with a focus on AI-driven automated driving, electric and connected mobility. It is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the full lifecycle of CI/CD pipelines and delivery automation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, maintenance and operation of end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for build, test, verification, release and deployment.
• Develop reusable automation and pipeline components in Jenkins, GitHub Actions and GitLab.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration automation with Terraform and Ansible.
• Build, optimize and maintain Docker and Kubernetes container images and deployment workflows.
• Apply GitOps with Argo CD or Flux to keep environments aligned with version-controlled configuration.
• Create and maintain Kubernetes manifests and application packaging with Helm for development, staging and production.
• Integrate cloud and on-premises tools, services, databases, networks and workflows into secure delivery platforms.
• Implement observability with metrics, dashboards, alerts and centralized logging (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Collaborate with software teams on microservices, APIs and Python- and Java-based solutions, review designs and pull requests, mentor colleagues and use AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot responsibly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a comparable technical field.
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering or software delivery automation.
• Strong spoken and written English and effective collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Git, including branching, merging and pull-request workflows.
• CI/CD concepts and at least one major toolchain, preferably Jenkins; GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Bitbucket is valuable.
• Advanced Bash and/or PowerShell scripting, Linux command-line and administration.
• Docker and Kubernetes, including troubleshooting, deployments, services, namespaces, configuration and logs.
• Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, and declarative Kubernetes configuration with Helm or Kustomize.
• Cloud or self-hosted infrastructure, networking, firewalls, proxies, security controls and operational reliability.
