QA Manual Engineer

About the role

Join Reconomy’s new technology hub, RecoTek, in Bucharest as a QA Manual Engineer. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and designers to ensure high‑quality web and mobile applications that support the circular economy mission.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements and acceptance criteria, identifying ambiguities and test conditions.
• Create test plans, strategies, and estimate testing effort.
• Design comprehensive test cases using risk‑based and boundary‑based techniques.
• Execute functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Validate API endpoints with Postman and verify backend data using SQL.
• Log detailed defects, collaborate with developers for reproduction, and retest resolved issues.

Required profile

• Experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Ability to create test plans, test cases, and prioritize testing based on risk.
• Familiarity with Agile ceremonies and defect tracking in Jira.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to produce clear test reports.

• Postman for API testing
• SQL for data validation
• Jira (defect tracking) and test‑management tools such as Xray, TestRail, Zephyr or Testmo
• Figma for UI validation
• Basic automation knowledge
• Git basics
• Browser developer tools
• Testing of microservices/integrations
