QA Engineer – Automated Testing

About the role

DXC Luxoft is hiring a QA Engineer in Bucharest to work on an on-premise application built on containers, integrated with a cloud-based infrastructure management platform built on microservices and cloud-native technologies. The role covers both automated and manual testing, with collaboration across development, QA and DevOps teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for API, UI and end-to-end workflows using Cypress.
• Review product requirements, user stories and technical design documentation to define test scenarios and scope.
• Create and maintain manual test cases based on functional requirements and system design.
• Execute manual and automated tests for new features, bug fixes and system integrations.
• Analyze test results and CI/CD pipeline outputs, investigating failures through debugging and root cause analysis.
• Use log analysis, monitoring dashboards and system metrics to investigate issues.
• Collaborate with development, QA and DevOps teams to improve test coverage, product quality and release stability.
• Contribute to the test automation framework and supporting tools, and coordinate testing activities with sprint goals and release timelines.
• Take part in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of experience in test automation with JavaScript and modern automation frameworks (Cypress preferred).
• 2-3 years of manual software testing, including test case design from requirements, user stories and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
