Manufacturing Science & Technology Expert

About the role

Novartis is seeking Manufacturing Science & Technology Experts to own process knowledge, lead technology transfers and product launches, and drive validation strategies for its therapies. The position is based onsite in Târgu Mureş, Romania, and does not include relocation support.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain end‑to‑end process knowledge and lifecycle oversight for assigned products.
• Lead technology transfers and launch readiness activities, ensuring seamless scale‑up and compliance.
• Develop and execute validation strategies (process, cleaning, packaging) aligned with cGMP and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical support, risk mitigation, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure business continuity and quality.

Required profile

• BSc in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry or equivalent; MSc desirable.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, MS&T, technical development or quality within GMP/GxP environments.
• Proven leadership in tech transfer and cross‑functional project management.
