IT Project Manager – Engineering Delivery

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking an IT Project Manager – Engineering Delivery to join its Romania team in Bucharest. The role will support the delivery of digital solutions for defence and space projects, ensuring projects are launched on‑time, within scope and budget while meeting quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive IT projects from initiation to Go‑Live, managing schedule, cost, resources and quality.
• Apply agile and traditional project‑management methods, monitor progress and control risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate integration of lessons learned, manage contracts with partners and suppliers.
• Represent the project across the organisation and communicate service‑related updates to customers.
• Collaborate with chief engineers, project managers and work‑package managers, often remotely.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Technology or Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience delivering IT tool deployment projects.
• 2‑3 years in project‑management support or PMO environments.
• Business‑fluent English; additional European language a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast‑changing, multinational environment.

Required skills

• PMP certification (or equivalent).
• PRINCE2 certification.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
