Head of DevOps, Platform as a Service

About the role

EveryMatrix is seeking a Head of DevOps to create and lead the Platform as a Service (PaaS) chapter. Based in Bucharest, you will own the private‑cloud infrastructure product and transform it into a secure, self‑service platform that development teams can consume on demand.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale the PaaS chapter to a team of 5‑10 DevOps and hosting engineers.
• Define the technical direction and roadmap for the private‑cloud infrastructure.
• Publish a service catalogue with clear ownership and interfaces for compute, storage, environments and infrastructure provisioning.
• Deliver secure CI/CD as a service, embedding pipelines, secrets management, access control and compliance controls.
• Set, measure and report on SLAs, capacity planning and cost transparency for all services.
• Establish engineering standards such as infrastructure as code, peer review, automated testing and observability.
• Integrate AI‑assisted engineering practices and track their impact on delivery speed and quality.
• Collaborate with development, architecture and security teams to align platform capabilities with product needs.
• Own platform reliability, including on‑call rotation, incident response and post‑incident learning.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading platform, infrastructure or DevOps teams, including hiring and people management.
• Track record of delivering infrastructure as a self‑service product with defined service catalogue and SLAs.
• Strong understanding of running containers, Kubernetes and Helm at scale.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD automation and infrastructure as code.
