Financial Controller – Bucharest, Romania

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Financial Controller for its Bucharest entity. The role will lead financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting and governance, working closely with regional and global finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities in line with corporate timelines.
• Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with local accounting standards.
• Drive annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and long‑range financial planning for the Romania entity.
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights for operational and strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with Romanian fiscal, accounting, tax and regulatory requirements, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Manage statutory audits and support internal audit activities, ensuring timely closure of observations.
• Review balance‑sheet reconciliations, provisions, accruals and financial disclosures to maintain strong controls.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital performance and financial risks, proposing mitigation actions.
• Support corporate reporting requirements, including management reports and ad‑hoc analyses for regional and global leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting, statutory compliance and budgeting within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of Romanian accounting and tax regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global finance teams.
