Field Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Field Technician to join the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team. The mission is to provide specialised knowledge and capabilities to ensure successful hardware and firmware deployment on‑site and at customer premises.

Key responsibilities

• Use, update and create technical documentation such as As‑build documents, equipment lists and ICDs.
• Travel to customer sites in Romania and abroad, performing hardware and software deployment, configuration and testing.
• Assemble, mount, install and configure mechanical and electrical sub‑components in chassis.
• Collect on‑site information, update project databases and perform verification tests.
• Maintain relationships with customers, solve urgent hardware/firmware issues and ensure SLA compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of field installation, commissioning or testing in IT&C or telecommunications.
• Experience with telecommunication technologies, firmware configurations and networking hardware installation.
• Ability to work on heights and hold a clean B‑category driving licence.
• Fluent English and a clean police record.
