Embedded Software Engineer – Connected Services

About the role

The Embedded Software Engineer – Connected Services will develop, integrate and validate embedded software for a connected vehicle platform. The role enables secure communication between in‑vehicle systems and cloud services, supporting use cases such as over‑the‑air updates, remote diagnostics, data acquisition and vehicle function execution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded C++ software components for connectivity and vehicle services.
• Integrate software with ECUs and in‑vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet, etc.) and implement Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, cellular and geo‑positioning features.
• Apply deep knowledge of automotive protocols (CAN, J1939, UDS, DoIP, SOME/IP, diagnostics, Automotive Ethernet) to ensure correct system behavior.
• Develop and troubleshoot software in Linux environments, including CLI tools, kernel modules, libraries and TPM.
• Design service‑oriented solutions using IPC technologies such as D‑Bus, gRPC, MQTT, HTTP, sockets, pipes and queues.
• Automate build, test and integration processes with Python and Shell scripting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in embedded software development for automotive applications.
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols and system architectures.
• Ability to work in Linux development environments and contribute to system stability, performance and security.
• Experience designing service‑oriented solutions for vehicle connectivity.
