Controllership Specialist - SOX Compliance

About the role

Genpact is looking for a Specialist in Controllership focused on SOX compliance, based in Romania. The role covers control testing, documentation and support of financial processes, with a hybrid working arrangement and standard shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform control testing and support documentation for financial processes
• Maintain control matrices and audit evidence repositories
• Identify control gaps, track remediation and monitor the effectiveness of SOX controls
• Coordinate with control owners to obtain and validate supporting evidence
• Assist in assessing process changes and their impact on SOX compliance
• Track testing results, deficiencies and remediation plans to completion
• Support internal reviews, reporting, walkthroughs and the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits
• Analyze control exceptions and help develop corrective action plans
• Prepare status reports and compliance metrics for management, and support risk assessments and annual SOX scoping
• Work with Finance, Accounting, IT and operational teams, and train process owners on SOX requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Finance, or a Master's in Finance
• Certifications such as CCO, CIA or CRP are listed as preferred
• Advanced German (C1) is required
