Contract Manager

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY ROMANIA S.R.L. is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Contract Manager in Bucharest to oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks and maximising value. The role covers negotiation, drafting, execution and administration of a wide range of agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation through execution, administration and close-out.
• Draft, review and negotiate sales, procurement, service, NDA and partnership agreements in line with company policy and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with legal, sales, procurement, finance and project management teams to reflect agreed terms accurately.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual risks and ensure compliance with terms, legal obligations and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate contract records in the company's contract management system and develop best practices.
• Train internal teams, monitor contract performance and resolve disputes promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field; a Master's or professional certification (e.g. CPCM, CCCM) is a plus.
• 5-7 years of experience in contract management, preferably in a large multinational or technology/industrial sector.
• Fluent English and Romanian, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Expertise in contract law, negotiation and risk management.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple contracts at once.
