Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Romania

About the role

We are looking for a senior technology leader to drive the technical side of sales and engineering for an AI‑agent platform. You will shape the architecture, lead hands‑on development, and build a high‑performing team in Romania.

Key responsibilities

• Lead early‑stage sales conversations, deliver demos, and guide architecture and security decisions.
• Act as a hands‑on engineering lead: ship code, build integrations, and set quality standards.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a technical team across engineering, integration, and pre‑sales.
• Drive end‑to‑end customer integrations from scoping to production deployment.
• Collect customer feedback, localise the product, and represent regional needs to the global product team.

Required profile

• 7–8+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience with shipped products.
• Proven track record in pre‑sales, solution architecture, or complex technical implementations.
• Customer‑facing experience such as Field CTO, Solutions Architect, or Deployed Engineer.
• Strong leadership background, ideally at Director, VP, or Founder level.
• Excellent English and fluency in at least one local language.
