Backend Engineer – Java & Spring (2-4 years experience)

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Backend Engineer with a Java and Spring Framework background and 2‑4 years of relevant experience. Join our team to help serve millions of users, process terabytes of data, and keep systems running smoothly for the 99th percentile.

Key responsibilities

• Develop medium‑size features such as authentication or payment modules.
• Work in two‑week sprints using Scrum and JIRA.
• Conduct regular code reviews and write specifications/documentation.
• Estimate, break down, and architect medium‑complexity tasks.
• Communicate effectively via JIRA, Slack, email, and in person.

Required profile

• Passion for building software products that solve real‑world problems.
• Continuous desire to improve technical and non‑technical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork mindset.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Required skills

• Java and Spring Framework (2‑3 years).
• SQL/PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Hibernate/JPA.
• Object‑Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.
• RESTful web services.
• Linux/UNIX, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) – nice to have.
