AS&T Specialist (Temporary)

About the role

Novartis is seeking an AS&T Specialist to support analytical method lifecycle activities, transfers, validation programs, and equipment management in its Targu Mureș manufacturing site. The role combines scientific expertise with project coordination to ensure high‑quality medicines reach patients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate analytical method transfer projects, ensuring timely implementation.
• Develop, review, and maintain validation and qualification documentation (protocols, reports, records).
• Provide scientific support for product and process validation across the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Perform statistical evaluation of analytical data to drive continuous improvement.
• Review raw analytical data and technical documentation for integrity and compliance.
• Coordinate equipment qualification, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Support implementation and validation of new analytical methods and technologies.

Required profile

• University degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an analytical laboratory within pharma/biotech.
• Working knowledge of GMP‑regulated environments and analytical techniques.
• Strong written and verbal English; German is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions.
