AI Engineer – GenAI & Agentic AI (German speaking)

About the role

Join Wavestone's AI, Data & Software Solutions team to design and deliver production‑ready generative AI and agentic AI systems for regulated industries. You will work on real‑world tasks such as document understanding, decision support, and automated actions within enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy agentic AI solutions that plan tasks, use tools, and execute actions in enterprise systems.
• Build RAG pipelines, extraction logic, and integrate data from sources like documents, emails, and forms using platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Kafka.
• Implement robust back‑ends, APIs, and integrate AI components via REST, events, or MCP.
• Measure AI output quality with automated evaluations, guardrails, tracing, and human‑in‑the‑loop workflows.
• Automate infrastructure and deployments using IaC and CI/CD on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or on‑premises platforms.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience, including 1‑2 years with LLM‑based applications beyond prototype stage.
• Fluent German (C1) and strong English communication skills.

Required skills

• Python (expert) and at least one enterprise language (Java, C# or .NET).
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Pydantic AI) and RAG/vector databases.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), containers, Terraform.
• CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and API development.
