About the role
The Test Engineer will join Bosch's Cluj plant to support validation of mobility‑industry products. You will be responsible for setting up, executing and documenting medium, electrical and functional tests, ensuring compliance with specifications and timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Perform setup, preparation and execution of medium, electrical and functional tests according to defined specifications.
- Validate test requirements and support clarification or adjustment of test scope with internal stakeholders.
- Plan and prioritize validation activities, selecting appropriate test equipment.
- Evaluate test feasibility, propose new equipment or improvements, and consider budget constraints.
- Create, document and evaluate test results, ensuring clear structure and compliance with reporting standards.
- Review technical reports prepared by peers for accuracy and consistency.
- Investigate and report unidentified failures or anomalies, escalating complex issues when needed.
- Develop test plans for new products or test types in collaboration with reliability and development engineers.
- Contribute to laboratory organization and documentation, maintaining a structured and compliant environment.
- Define sub‑tasks for technicians and ensure execution within planned timelines.
- Communicate deviations from customer requirements or technical issues and propose corrective actions.
- Consolidate test results into structured reports to support evaluation and decision‑making.
- Monitor progress of assigned tasks and proactively escalate risks related to timelines, quality or budget.
- Participate in continuous improvement of documentation, test specifications and laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards (e.g., 5S) and propose process optimizations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support external partner evaluation when testing is outsourced.
Required profile
- University degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate test results and identify root causes.
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety and organization standards such as 5S.
