Collections Officer with German (Early Career)

About the role

Accenture is recruiting a Collections Officer (Business Advisory Analyst, Early Career) in Romania, working on overdue accounts. The role balances customer needs, business objectives and risk management, aiming to reduce delinquency, maximise recoveries and keep a professional customer experience. It is full-time, 09:00-18:00, with hybrid work in Bucharest, Brasov, Iasi or Timisoara; other Romanian locations may get more flexibility, including remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound collection activities for overdue accounts
• Engage customers to understand payment circumstances and identify suitable solutions
• Negotiate payment commitments, repayment plans and collection arrangements
• Monitor account portfolios and follow up on agreed actions
• Maintain accurate case records and collection documentation
• Escalate hardship, fraud, dispute, complaint or legal cases as required
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Risk, Compliance and external partners
• Support recovery, quality and productivity targets and comply with internal policies and regulations

Required profile

• German and English at B2-C1 level
• Minimum high school diploma; entry-level roles need no prior experience, mid-level roles need at least 1 year in collections, customer service, finance operations or account management
• Understanding of delinquency management and collection processes
• Preferred: French or Italian, and a Goethe German certificate
