Senior Embedded Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer to design and implement the core software for our proprietary sensor products, including pressure sensors, accelerometers and gyroscopes. You will work in a dynamic, multi‑project environment at Bosch Engineering Center Cluj, contributing to cutting‑edge mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise embedded software in C or C++ for sensor devices.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, read schematics and datasheets, and influence hardware design.
• Write efficient, performance‑oriented code for ARM Cortex‑M and RISC‑V processors.
• Develop both bare‑metal applications and software running on real‑time operating systems (RTOS).
• Prioritise tasks, switch between projects quickly and address customer‑reported issues and bug fixes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an embedded software developer with deep low‑level hardware knowledge.
• Ability to work on multiple sensor‑based projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
• Embedded development for ARM Cortex‑M and RISC‑V architectures.
• RTOS and bare‑metal programming.
• Reading and interpreting hardware schematics and datasheets.
• Performance optimisation and memory‑conscious coding.
