Laboratory Test Engineer

Bosch's Cluj plant is a strategic hub for innovation and production, delivering cutting‑edge mobility solutions to international customers. As a Laboratory Test Engineer you will join a dynamic team that ensures product quality through rigorous medium, electrical and functional testing. You will work on new product validation, support reliability initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, prepare and execute medium, electrical and functional tests according to specifications and timelines.
• Validate test requirements and coordinate scope adjustments with internal stakeholders.
• Plan and prioritize validation activities, selecting appropriate test equipment.
• Assess test feasibility and propose new equipment or improvements, considering budget and schedule.
• Create, document and evaluate test results, ensuring clear structure and compliance with reporting standards.
• Review technical reports from peers for accuracy and consistency.
• Investigate and report unidentified failures, escalating complex issues to senior engineers.
• Develop test plans for new products or test types in collaboration with reliability and development engineers.
• Contribute to laboratory organization, documentation and compliance with standards such as 5S.
• Define sub‑tasks for technicians and monitor execution against timelines.
• Communicate deviations from customer requirements and propose corrective actions.
• Consolidate test results into structured reports to support evaluation and decision‑making.
• Monitor task progress and proactively raise risks related to timeline, quality or budget.
• Participate in continuous improvement of documentation, test specifications and laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support external partner evaluations when testing is outsourced.
